The project illustrates: - Integrating a different open-source products to achieve the desired feature in the most effective way; - Advanced logging by using Elasticsearch and Kibana.
MathBet is a world-famous arbitrage betting platform (here I won't go into explanation what arbitrage betting means). It's a very complex distributed software solution that includes many modules (collecting the data, parsing the data, matching the data, analyzing the data, publishing results). Important thing about MathBet is the fact that it has the world-best Arbitrage Engine (a module that searches for arbitrage betting opportunities). This fact is widely recognized, even by direct competitors. Again this is my project in a sense that it's based on my idea, I've created software architecture, and I've worked on its development. But this time I wasn't alone - I've lead a team of few developers who worked with me. Besides that, I've also planned/installed/configured/administered the whole underlying IT infrastructure (virtualization, servers, etc.) Technology: C#, C, MS SQL backend.
It's a very complex distributed software solution that collects enormous amounts of forex and stock prices, and analyzes the data (quantitative analysis) in real-time. Few pretty astonishing facts about the project: - Tracks many (even hundreds) brokers; - Enormous ingestion rate (up to 100,000 quotes per second); - Near-to-zero latency - it takes only up to 30ms from the moment a particular quote is received to the moment it's already analyzed. My role in the project: everything. It's based on my idea, I've created architecture, and finally I've developed it. Even more, I've also planned, installed, configured and administered complete underlying IT infrastructure (virtualization, servers used, etc.) Technology: C# / C++ with Cassandra backend.
