The client wanted to migrate a Joomla 3 website to Joomla 5 and update the template frameworks and Page Builder. After looking in to the requirements, I recommended redeveloping the template on a simpler framework and template, saving considerable development time and cost.
Clients older Joomla 3 site was migrated to Joomla 4 and re-designed. I helped the client to match their design requirements with commercially available templates, frameworks, maintenance costs and other factors. The selected template was JoomlArt Alpha which was significantly altered.
This project consisted of multiple elements: Migration of a Joomla 3 website to a new hosting provider and attendant DNS changes. Updating Joomla 3 to Joomla 4. Developing a new Joomla 4 template on JoomlArt T4 template framework. Importing 200+ products in to Phoca Cart and image editing. The client wanted to display a large collection of antique clothing items in a simple attractive way that would highlight the beauty of the garments and the craftsmanship involved. We decided on a very clean layout with a colour palette derived from the traditional colours used in the garments. The products had to be exported from a obsolete component in Joomla 3 and imported to Phoca Cart. The images had to be edited and multiple views created. This process took the longest time. Throughout the project the client was trained on maintaining the website and updating the product catalogue.

Developed a modern mobile friendly website using a RocketTheme template. Migrated the content from the previous Joomla site using SP Migrate. The template was heavily modified to fit in with the clients deign requirements. The navigation was re-structured to enable user to easily locate information based on their role. The content layouts was re-structured to easily read and access all the information and actions on one page. Enabled a very effective Smart Search indexing feature to enable easier access to content.
