The goal of this app was to let client's view a vast catalogue of window blinds and drapery over their own windows. Unity's AR Foundation package was utilized in order to achieve this. We believed this to be the best option due to AR Foundation being feature-rich. This also allowed us to easily develop for iOS and Android. I came onto this project a little late as a UI Developer. I was responsible for implementing any UI changes and programming their respective functionality. I am most proud of the Media Gallery section that I created myself.
This app set out on a journey to help sales representatives sell their kitchen remodelling service by showcasing their own products inside of a client's own home. Our solution was to use Unity's AR Foundation framework to bring this dream to life. This allowed us to scan the environment using the camera and optimizations were made to increase performance. Every screen you see, every piece of UI, I implemented. I collaborated closely with our UI/UX designers to make this an intuitive XR experience. I also helped prototype core placement features and overall project architecture.
This app was developed to help security guards quickly and easily scan patrons bags to determine if they are transparent and within size guidelines. It supports scanning full-size bags and wristlets. Due to being on a small team, we developers had to wear more hats than usual. Alongside working as a Unity developer, I also contributed to the overall design of the UI (as well as implementation inside Unity) and took a major role in creating the user experience/flow, keeping in mind XR best practices. Since it was made in Unity, it works on iOS and Android. Soon to be available in app stores.
