Jose C. - Fullstack Developer, Back-End Development, Redis

Being part of Softaims has allowed me to see the full spectrum of what technology can achieve when guided by empathy, discipline, and creativity. Each assignment, regardless of size, represents an opportunity to bring clarity to complexity and to turn ambitious ideas into tangible outcomes. I’ve come to realize that successful development isn’t just about writing code—it’s about listening carefully, understanding deeply, and designing thoughtfully. Every client brings unique challenges, and I make it a priority to align my work with their goals, ensuring that the end result is both effective and lasting. Softaims fosters an environment where collaboration is not optional—it’s essential. The collective expertise within the team pushes me to think beyond conventional boundaries, to question, refine, and innovate. I believe that this process of shared learning and experimentation is what makes our solutions resilient and impactful. My ultimate goal is to build technology that feels effortless to use yet powerful in function. I approach every task with the mindset that small details can make a big difference. Through continuous refinement and dedication, I aim to contribute to the kind of work that not only serves today’s needs but anticipates tomorrow’s possibilities.

Experience Highlights

Golang MMO 2D Game

I’ve developed a custom 2D game engine specifically designed for a real-time multiplayer MMO experience, entirely written in Golang with no external game frameworks. This project showcases deep systems-level programming, performance optimization, and scalable backend infrastructure using AWS. Currently in alpha phase with functional systems and placeholder assets. Actively building original content, hardening infrastructure, and preparing for a closed pre-alpha release.

Toptal

- I worked for a well-known social network where I built Top-K filters to filter out products served by shopping ads. We got around 4.2-5% CTR, revenue around 4.75%, and impressions around 2.11 % increase. - Led a team of three developers for a gaming company in SF, where I built a back-end architecture refactoring strategy, built a test framework, and finally increased coverage from 10% to 47.3% in less than a month - Worked as L4/L5 SWE for an AV company located in SF where I led/aligned with several teams/designed/implemented from scratch

Reddit

- Worked on the ads inference predictions team, where I designed and developed an inference prediction Redis clustered cache from scratch to support 10 million requests/second. Saved $1.6 million annually and decreased the overall E2E latency by 8 ms. - Developed a smart batching solution to distribute inference requests and optimize infra metrics. A 20% latency decrease, around 1% non-heuristic delta increase, and 3% CTR were significant potential improvements. Updated k8 infra containers to support KEDA auto-scaler and tuned readiness/liveness. And more...

QR Systematic Control

When I was twenty-two I developed a management software. This project was to control coils for a recycling plant. With this software, you can manage the coil stock with a cell phone through reading QR code.

Capacitive touch sensors

This project consists in the implementation of two capacitive touch sensors using an Atmega88pa microcontroller. These sensors were used for the control of intensity of a 12 Voltage(voltash) light.
