I’ve supported an Agile Release Train as Tech Lead helping the team shape architecture, ease and standardize deployment workflows and make sure security concepts are implemented.
For their customers FITS provides self-hosted Cloud Native products including Kubernetes and as a service on bare metal using metal-stack as well as Postgres & Kafka aaS running on Kubernetes. I’ve helped to shape technology and mindset and built the bridge between a major customer in the banking business and my team.
The startup wanted to migrate off heroku and to a new AWS cloud infrastructure. I’ve created AWS environments from scratch using terraform and automated app/service deployments with CI/CD (GitHub Actions) and Helm. Later on we’ve implemented GitOps (w/ ArgoCD). Also I’ve built a platform team of 5 DevOps Engineers to support the product teams and take care of the infrastructure.
As a big consultancy that is processing highly sensitive data for clients the customer needed to make sure developed software is secure and compliant. I’ve implemented advanced pipelines checking docker base images, licenses, documentation, hardening and doing automated penetration tests. This was a major break-through as usually compliance checks took months and after automation just minutes.
