- Brought in to spearhead technical turnaround for a struggling social app. Identified root causes of performance issues, speed, several bugs, and scalability bottlenecks. - Spent a few days restructuring the code base to eliminate conflicting design choices (~20k LOC project). The restructure improved efficiency and paving the way for sustainable growth. - On-boarded the team to get with the new structure, got feedback on the structure, and helped them with complex tasks that came up later. - Technologies: Flutter/Dart, Firebase, Firestore, Realtime Database, GeoLocation Data, Custom API

The goal for this project was to create a beautiful website to inform people what Reia is all about. An open-source action RPG and adventure game. Coupled with both a single-player and multi-player version! 1) The first thing to do was to focus on supporting all device sizes. Mobile, Tablet, 1080p and 4k. 2) The second step was to design and program a custom navigation bar that has different views depending on the size. 3) Next I focused on developing the hero section to also grab the user by telling them about how to download the game and briefly what it's about. 4) The next step was to fill out the sections beneath it. Events, Blog, and the actual article. The challenge here was designing it in a way that could be easily edited by anyone since it's a simple Markdown file that gets loaded in. And it also loads from a database for other data. So it's very low-code, allowing anyone to change it. 5) After all of that was designed, the last step was to tweak colors to work better with the initial colors so it's easier on the user's eyes and also for those with color-blindness. 6) Lastly, I double checked SEO scores and performance scores with Google Lighthouse to make sure the website is performant and up to code. 7) Use Semrush, Google Search Console, and Bing Webmaster Tools to execute SEO strategies. 8) Create a CI/CD to automatically deploy it to Vercel on each update to the master branch.
This game already existed but I cloned it for the client so he could have a native web version that ran fast as possible. The task was to implement the game again using SvelteKit. This allowed for fast development and only took me a couple of days to replicate the game. Once the project was finished, the only thing left to do was to tweak colors and some functionality.
I implemented several pages over the course of a few days. I also provided constant feedback on my progress. That included any suggestions on changes or typos before actually acting on them. Or I would make the change immediately to save time and do so in a way that can be easily reverted. My work is also designed in a way that other developers can easily jump in and take over.
