Mohamed S. - Fullstack Developer, Kubernetes, ASP.NET Core

Being part of Softaims has allowed me to see the full spectrum of what technology can achieve when guided by empathy, discipline, and creativity. Each assignment, regardless of size, represents an opportunity to bring clarity to complexity and to turn ambitious ideas into tangible outcomes. I’ve come to realize that successful development isn’t just about writing code—it’s about listening carefully, understanding deeply, and designing thoughtfully. Every client brings unique challenges, and I make it a priority to align my work with their goals, ensuring that the end result is both effective and lasting. Softaims fosters an environment where collaboration is not optional—it’s essential. The collective expertise within the team pushes me to think beyond conventional boundaries, to question, refine, and innovate. I believe that this process of shared learning and experimentation is what makes our solutions resilient and impactful. My ultimate goal is to build technology that feels effortless to use yet powerful in function. I approach every task with the mindset that small details can make a big difference. Experience Highlights

Bio Vault | HIPAA Compliant Web Medical Vault

Our customer (BioViva Science) wanted a modern looking cloud based web portal to server as a medical vault to collect medical information from their customers for the sake of supporting their research/analytics based DNA and gene-therapy. It was required to be: 1- Modern looking 2- Fully HIPAA compliant 3- Highly scalable with most cost efficient approach 4- Highly secured 5- Easy for in-house team/s to take over I technical and operationally led the entire project from requirements gathering to the successful delivery of the following: 1- Website 2- Very robust and cost efficient cloud-based architecture (based on GKE and Firestore) 3- Very clean code with thoroughly documented artifacts (user stories, test cases, dev/devops guides, architecture diagrams and data model design...etc.) 4- Full CI/CD and IaC pipelines setup 5- Architecture and design for data integration/ingestion pipeline 6- Applying best practices for operations, monitoring, performance, security and compliance of the underlying platform (i.e. GCP in this case)

CCV VR App | Unity + Daydream View Mobile App

VR (Virtual Reality) solution that allows staff to be trained in close proximity to the workplace with Artificial Intelligence (Text-to-Speech & Speech-to-Text) support to simulate supervisor-to-trainer interaction and dialogues. The project was a custom development for the largest nuclear power generation plant in Ontario, Canada to simulate their employees onsite training for maintaining and operating power generation plants. The solution was built using C# on Unity and Daydream SDK (targeting Android devices and Daydream View headsets) with back-end APIs (ASP.NET MVC), SQL Server database, authentication and storage all running on Azure in addition to Google AI (Text-to-Speech & Speech-to-Text) APIs, supporting the following: - Login (onscreen keyboard) - Voice instructions (Text-to-Speech) for job and roles assignment - Verbal communication (Speech-to-Text) with the back-end system to confirm understanding of the assigned job - Locating the designated equipment within simulated training area - Performing CCV (correct component verification) process dialog with a simulated supervisor/system (speech AI) and using onscreen documentation/aid (applying certain restrictions on user's head movement/gaze) - Retry/pass/fail/scoring logic to confirm passing/failing the training course (with support for both practice exam and real exam modes) - Job report filling and submission - Results summary and reporting for admins - Admin view to allow objects/job plotting on/within the simulated training area

Bee'ah Social Network | Mobile App + Web Dashboard

Internal social mobile app released for native Android and iOS with responsive web-based (Angular) admin dashboard and a shared API layer (Java - Spring). The app was a custom development for Bee'ah (the leading environmental preservation organization in the UAE) The app back-end and web front-end were both fully cloud-based (based on GCP) running on App Engine, Google Cloud Storage and Firebase real-time database. The app supported the following: - OAuth (G Suite) login - Sharing/creating posts/ideas/announcements - Comments and rating for posts - Integration with all company's social accounts (Facebook, Tweeter and Instagram) - Polls - Employee happiness meter (surveying and summary visualization over time and on different levels/hierarchies) - Measurement of employees activities/contribution to the app - Real-time updates - Admin dashboard supporting comprehensive reporting, user management and access control

FME Management Tablet App | for Nuclear Power Generation Plants

Cross platform tablet application based on Xamarin (mainly targeting UWP) with server side APIs, database, storage and authentication features all running on Azure. The project aimed to manage FME (Foreign Material Exclusion Zones) at the largest nuclear power generation plant in Ontario, Canada. The project mainly supported the following: - Full tracking (balance sheet like) of all kinds of materials and workers transactions/disposition (check in, check out, transfer, consumption, replacement...etc.) - Different mechanisms for checking in/out (such as manual, bar-code scanning (camera and laser scanner) and RFID) - Offline support and different synching modes with the back-end - Full dashboard and comprehensive reporting (balance/status, transnational history and tracking...etc.) - Simple document management for different sites/projects - Access control management and multi-tenancy (site-based) A little more context about the project: The project main objective was to make sure that FME (this is the zone where nuclear reactors turbines, generators and other kinds of related equipment get maintained) implies 0% chance that a foreign material (even the most tiny thing) could be left abandoned there (such case implies nuclear risk), thus, any material or person/worker that get checked in to the FME must be 100% tracked since the moment it's checked in till we are 100% sure of its final state (i.e. checked out, installed, consumed, replaced....etc.).

Bio Vault CICD and IaC | GitLab + GCP/GKE

Full CICD and IaC pipelines design and implementation for the Bio Vault project (see reference to this project on my portfolio). That was based on GitLab, Docker, Kubernetes (GKE) and also included multiple GCP products such as Container Register, Cloud Functions, Cloud Scheduler and more.
