Micro on Kube is a Fully Automated Highly scalable and Well Monitored Kubernetes Platform developed on top of AWS EKS. The Platform was developed to make microservice application deployment easy to create visibility and resiliency towards the end user usage. Infrastructure contained multiple EKS clusters provisioned via terraform for different environment purely provisioned on Fargate. All microservices uses there own scaling metrics to scale. Promethues and Grafana leveraged to provide insights on Pods while NewRelic was optimized to provide Application Metrics. Software releases are fully automated via GITLAB CI/CD a specialized tool was developed to declare deployment as code to make developers life easier. Hierarchical way of manifest definition was leveraged onto yaml. Secrets and Configuration Management are included as part of the CI/CD automations as well as Automated Tests, Vulnerability scanning and automatic rollbacks were included as stages onto the pipeline. Project was a huge success and it currently hosts 40+ microservices raising steadily.
