Our client BID is a company specializing in real estate portfolio management. Managing large real estate portfolios requires a powerful platform that not only enables the analysis of critical data and Key Performance Indicators (KPIs) but also provides an intuitive presentation of this information. The platform enables transparent and efficient management of real estate portfolios. Through the combination of powerful data analysis, flexible visualization, and secure user access, we were able to create a solution that sustainably meets BID's long term requirements.
Econophysics research paper. Financial market data from the German stock market is analyzed with respect to the question of optimal capital allocation. A systematic, automated approach to choose investment portfolios is developed. The framework of Random Matrix Theory is used to improve future volatility estimations in an in-depth analysis of correlations between price fluctuations in the market. The resulting predictions are compared to the predictions that are obtained by the traditional mean-variance and the Efficient Market Hypothesis approaches. The resulting portfolios show lower combined risk than the ones that are obtained by mean-variance analysis.
The client is one of the largest employers in Cologne and a leading center for medical research and patient care in Germany. We developed a secure database interface (Next.js, FastAPI, PostgreSQL, Docker) and migrated existing data from an Oracle to modernize and ensure the future viability of data management. Key challenges tackled included complex integration with legacy healthcare systems, ensuring strict compliance with data security and creating a user-friendly interface to support custom workflows.
With LOCATA Analytics, we leveraged state of the art algorithms to analyze the locations of real estate properties at the click of a button. Co-founded the company and built the FastAPI backend prototype from scratch. Led a team of developers to bring the product to market. Exited in December 22
