My name is Syed Ubaid Ullah A. and I have over 1 years of experience in the tech industry. I specialize in the following technologies: Civil Engineering, Transportation, Transportation Engineering, GIS, GIS Software, etc.. I hold a degree in Master of Engineering (MEng), Bachelor of Applied Science (BASc). Some of the notable projects I’ve worked on include: NSITC Transportation Master Plan, Modelling Long Haul Truck Route Choice in Ontario, Toronto GM Mobility Campus, Quetta Master Plan, Parachinar City Master Plan, etc.. I am based in Lahore Cantt, Pakistan. I've successfully completed 6 projects while developing at Softaims.

I am a business-driven professional; my technical decisions are consistently guided by the principle of maximizing business value and achieving measurable ROI for the client. Experience Highlights

NSITC Transportation Master Plan

- Modelling site plan and subject road network in VISUM - Estimating expected vehicular traffic resulting from the proposed development - Evaluating network performance under existing and future conditions. - Providing solutions to accommodate increase in traffic.

Modelling Long Haul Truck Route Choice in Ontario

A route choice model was developed to explain and predict long-haul truck vehicle movements in Ontario. An algorithm was devised to process approximately 58,000 observed trips from GPS data in ArcGIS to establish variable choice sets based on an optimal commonality factor that measures route overlap.

Toronto GM Mobility Campus

- Adjustments to intersection geometry to accommodate increased turning movements during the peak hour. - Signalization of site accesses. - Obstruction free movement of Car Carriers, passenger vehicles, single unit trucks, municipal vehicles, and emergency vehicles - Clear Sightlines at accesses - Provision of Parking supply and loading bays as per zoning by-laws - Provision of active transportation facilities within site plan connecting with local network.

Quetta Master Plan

- Modelling Quetta’s transportation network in VISUM - Geometric improvements for existing links and provision of ‘missing links’ in the network. - Signalization of key intersections. - Traffic calming. - Provision of mass transit - Parking Solutions - Trucking and logistics operations - Airport Access - Active Transportation - Relocation of bus and truck terminals - Education and awareness campaigns - Regulatory and institutional reforms.

Parachinar City Master Plan

The transportation master plan utilized a travel demand model made using ArcGIS and the Network Analyst to forecast future traffic volumes based on proposed land uses. The results of the model helped identify: - Necessary geometric improvements to existing roads based on volume to capacity. - construction of new roads for traffic distribution and congestion alleviation. In addition, the plan also covered provision and location of public transit facilities, intersection controls, parking, and freight and logistics.
