As part of university coursework programmed a line following robot to follow a path and undertake certain actions based on behavioural conditions with a state machine. Line following was done with the help of a self designed PID controller so as to ensure smooth and consisten behaviour both when turning at a stop as well as following curved and straight lines.
"Towards Energy Scavenging and Management for Long-Endurance Fixed-Wing Drone Flights" Developed a novel method for path/mission planning for fixed-wing UAVs that aids in minimising energy expenditure. It makes use of a greyscale heightmap of terrain to find areas where there is potential presence of ridge lift. With this a heat map is generated through which a path planning algortihm can run and create a path with minimal drone energy expenditure.
