A few golf courses all owned by the same group asked me to help them with an app that would allow them to take delivery and carryout orders from an app and let the users pay at the club with their member account, cash, venmo, paypal or credit card within the app. This also included authentication and registration flow and more. This also ended up including a full admin dashboard to allow each country club to setup their menu and be different for each restaurant. I created the entire prototype from a figma template and adjusted it to fit what we needed it for including menus, screens, admin ui and controls and more. After they accepted the mockups and flow I created the entire backend first on AWS amplify and app sync. After that I created the admin dashboard to allow for the creation of menus and products to display on the app and finally I created the iOS and Android app in react native and produced a beta product within 4 months to be tested at the country clubs.
I was hired as contractor for Steady app in 2021 and worked on numerous parts of the app for over a year. They were a very well established team with 3 pods of developers, managers and QA help. I ended up running my own pod which focused on a lot of A/B and experimental testing of new features that were meant to help make the app more money, bring in more users and retain users. Steady app was working on their series C funding when I left the team but they are still going strong and its a great app and I really enjoyed my time working with them.
Through a month long discovery process, I lead a team on the creation of a CRM system intended for the trucking industry. This included an full audit and understanding of day to day manual processes, identifying bottlenecks, assessing important data and conversion rates for quotes & policies while prototyping screens that will automate and solve these issues more efficiently. This system was integrated into a online quote process, RingCentral phone system and API, AI and custom PDF creation as well as a customer mobile app and customer portal for all clients.
Weather2020 uses proprietary algorithms to predict weather patterns much further out than a 7 day forecast. I helped build the B2B dashboard that allows users to view the crunched data in maps and graphs to help make the data viewable from a more practical way. We used Amazon RedShift and other AWS services to help make the data accessible. The dashboard itself was made with React, nodeJS, Express, AWS and made for mobile accessibility as well with React Native.
