Improve the look and feel of the YouTube player, define the gold standard for Video Playback on the Internet. I led a team of 3 engineers to redesign the YouTube player from a fixed UI to a transparent player that overlayed the video. I worked closely with Product and UX to design and implement the YouTube Player that has been in use for over 10 years. I personally implemented much of the UI including animated icons and menus, closed captions and seek bar thumbnails.
Build a Gaming focused version of YouTube, for gamers, by gamers. I implemented a large number of the Web Components for the YouTube Gaming website, and led a team of 4 engineers to build out multiple features such as Watch Parties, Memberships, Super Chat and Stadia Crowd Play.
Built full stack Three.js game as a fractional game developer, integrated with third party API's and Go backend for serving game assets.
