Goal - Create an EC2 Instance and Install LAMP (Linux, Apache, MariaDB, PHP) server on Amazon Linux 2. Solution - 1. Launched an Amazon Linux 2 EC2 instance. 2. Installed the Apache webserver to handle HTTP requests. 3. Installed MariaDB to manage the database. 4. Installed PHP to process server-side scripts and generate dynamic content. 5. Installed phpMyAdmin to view MariaDB Database in a convenient way. 6. Configured Apache to serve PHP files and established connectivity with MySQL. 7. Implemented SSL on it. 8. Tested the server to ensure it is serving web pages and processing PHP scripts correctly. This setup provides a web server environment that supports hosting dynamic websites and applications using PHP and MariaDB on Amazon Linux 2.
To quickly set up and deploy OpenVPN on AWS, I performed the following steps: 1. Launched an EC2 instance with the desired operating system. 2. Installed and configured OpenVPN on the instance. 3. Generated SSL/TLS certificates for server authentication. 4. Configured routing and firewall rules for secure communication. 5. Generated client certificates for user access. 6. Tested connectivity and access from client devices. 7. Implemented additional security measures such as MFA. This allowed for the swift deployment of OpenVPN on AWS, enabling secure remote access to the client's network resources.
