Built a general-purpose analytics application for Shopify merchants, integrating data from the Shopify API and PostHog to deliver actionable business insights. Designed and implemented an end-to-end ELT pipeline using Airbyte for ingestion, BigQuery for warehousing, and dbt for data transformation and modeling. Visualized insights through a custom Lightdash deployment connected to a semantic layer defined in dbt. The system supports modular expansion, custom metrics, and merchant-specific dashboards—enabling data-driven decisions without requiring technical expertise.
The Client An opportunity assessment team within a US.-based health insurer, recognized the need to harness the power of data for a deeper understanding of their members. The goal was to efficiently identify member cohorts and gain insights into the clinical and financial impacts of various levers to improve member outcomes. Challenge The client was utilizing a vast array of tools for data visualization and analysis. While each tool had its specific use, they collectively lacked the versatility offered by an all-encompassing, self-service analytics tool.
