Co-founded and worked as a CTO at the Ukraine's most innovative sports startup in the market of sports events management - MySport.Zone. MySport.Zone makes the lives of sports event organizers easier by automating the routine and providing a single platform for event information publishing, participants’ registration, seeding and competition bracket generation, conducting the matches, keeping track of scores and event progress, keeping the audience and the participants engaged with the interactive dashboards and real-time TV score-boards integrated into the system and much more. As a CTO I was responsible for R&D budget planning, interviewing and hiring developers, often performed duties usually specific to Tech Lead, DevOps, Architect etc. On top of that I conducted market research, participated in client interviews to discover the needs and pain points, analysed the collected data and designed optimal solutions - versatile enough to cover the majority if not all of the use cases, bit at the same time simple and cheap to develop as time to market is critical and budget constraints are always pressing. As a person connecting the knowledge of the business needs and having deep technical knowledge, I was the one to transform the business requirements and concepts into stories and feature descriptions for the developers. We managed to achieve a low time to market with MVP and then with a feature-complete product on a tight budget. The startup was quickly growing and had a number of happy customers (including nation-scale sports federations) before Russia started the war against Ukraine.
