The Customer requested to apply AI to enhance current skin cancer diagnostic technologies and build a solution to classify seven types of skin cancer lesions. For this task, we used Deep learning technologies. They are perfect for classifying various types of skin cancer while they can distinguish specific graphic patterns of skin lesions. With Deep Learning we were able to reach a really great accuracy - more than 95%. That is a good result. The challenge here was to get data for fine-tuning. We found the HAM10000 dataset, which is a decent dataset containing a large collection of multi-source dermatoscopic images of common pigmented skin lesions. And we used Keras framework for data augmentation.
