The challenge was to understand the deep technicalities of Node Exporter. How Node Exporter collectors collect metrics and their integration with Prometheus and Grafana.
Modern applications are distributed, dynamic, and often run on Kubernetes clusters, making traditional log management challenging Developers and operations teams need a solution to collect, analyze, and visualize logs effectively to troubleshoot issues, monitor performance, and maintain security. Setting up such a logging infrastructure manually can be a complex task, especially when dealing with highly available and scalable architectures.
Site reliability requires data regarding the application. Even with logs there is a lack of visibility with regards to how many applications errors there are and DB requests. Further, there is no metric-based methodology to ascertain Service Level Objectives.
- Provisioned EKS cluster and Node Groups using Terraform - Setup ALB Ingress Controller - Helm charts - Used AWS Secret Manager for storing secrets - Github actions to deploy apps
This project involves deploying LiveKit, a real-time audio and video communication platform, on Digital Ocean Kubernetes Engine. The deployment includes key components like LiveKit servers, Redis for caching, and both ingress and egress for handling traffic, all provisioned and managed via Terraform and Helm with CICD.
