As a contributing author to this article, I worked with a team of professors, administrators and students on an initiative called "Learning Sustainable Well-Being" (LSW) with the goal of implementing wellness courses into a university's core curriculum. My main role in this initiative was to collect, manage, and analyze data for the efficacy of the course, setting up comparable controls and analyzing a range of aspects of well-being. This video shows the introduction to a talk I gave at a virtual Teaching & Learning Conference in 2020, about an integrative instructional practice I developed that may be applied to a number of courses or topics. Here I discuss how I applied this teaching method to my own course, "The Science of Mindfulness", stressing the importance of engaging students more in the learning process. Please message me if you would like to see the full presentation.
