Problem: the client needed to deploy two wordpress websites in two different languages and then show the right website based on the language of the user, the configuration should be the easy as possible since it would be done by a developer who doesn't understand much about configuring servers and services. Solution: I proposed an infrastructure composed by an Application Load Balancer and 2 EC2 Instances, which used easypanel to install the wordpress website, the Application Load Balancer route traffic to the right website based on a HTTP Header which tells the browser language of the user.
On that project I built from scratch a resilient and scalable 3 tier infrastructure based on microservices for an angular-ssr app which consumed a Flask API. I did that by: - Creating the Docker Images for the angular app and the flask api. - Building 4 pipelines(2 for development and 2 for production) to build the docker image, deploy it to the ECR, update the task definition and start a new deploy at ECS - Configuring the ECS with Fargate. - Configuring Cloudfront for caching - Configuring the ALB to route traffic correctly to the frontend or to the API - Configuring the ECR Repositories.
