WADAT

This project involved developing a web application for tracking wireless sensors. It allows end users to do the followings: 1. Purchase sensors and attach to anything that the end users would like to track 2. Track the sensors’ locations in real time 3. Set up proximity alert, distance alert or linger alert. When the sensors move away from the configurable proximity, travel more than the configurable distance or stay stationary longer than the configurable time interval. The application will send out the email notification to the end users in different notification settings. This project consists of 2 parts: 1. an Angular2 Web Application deployed in Amazon S3. The web application communicates with the backend services through Amazon API Gateway and Amazon Lambda function. The locations of the sensors are displayed using Google Map. 2. A Nodejs batch job that deployed in Amazon EC2 which continuously receiving network packets sent by the wireless sensors, process the data, and upload to the database. The database used in this application is a PostgresSQL which runs in Amazon RDS. The database has PostGIS enabled in order to utilise geometry optimised functions to determine the location and distance between different geometry types. I am the core developer in this project (out of 2 developers). I’m responsible in designing and developing 90% of this project. Technology stack: 1. Angular2 with angular CLI and Bootstrap. 2. Google Map 3. Nodejs 4. Serverless Framework 5. PostgreSQL with PostGIS 6. Amazon S3, EC2, RDS, API Gateway, Lambda and SNS 7. Auth0 service
