Angular/Express (NodeJS)/Google APIs/Twilio/Google Cloud Platform

The client wanted to send text messages to parents on behalf of schools. The messages would be scheduled based on date, grade, language, among other parameters. Also, parents would need to enroll themselves to start receiving messages from one specific school. The client wanted to keep the text messages information and schedule parameters in google sheets. I implemented a RESTful service and integrated it with Google APIs to query the sheets and import the required information into a Google Cloud SQL database. The other main functions of this service are to serve the Angular application and the Twilio enrollment flow with data. The RESTful service was deployed as an App Engine Service, along with two cronjobs that hit its endpoints every hour to send the messages. I also created an Angular application that provides a human interface for the client to communicate with the RESTful service to review logs, import contact lists, import schedule sheets, CRUD schools, among other tasks. Google OAuth was implemented and Google Picker API was used. The Angular app was also deployed to Google App Engine as a service. Main technologies used: - Angular. - NodeJS (Express). - Google Drive API, Google Sheets API, Google Picker API. - Twilio. - MySQL. - Kendo UI.
