This is a Desktop Application for a company that builds and sells windows and doors. It is a legacy system that has seen continued development over the last 15 years. With evolving needs, both technical and business-related, the system has lost its robustness and efficiency. This system operates on a local physical network and with the business expanding over multiple physical locations, it has become impossible to keep the data synced across locations and much of the work has to be done manually. Starting from a couple of forms, the application has grown to a state where it has become a nightmare from a UX point of view. After a careful assessment of the client’s needs, we kicked off with wire-framing and re-designing the UX since we knew that much of the complexity in the current application, from a user’s point of view, is coming from the poor UX. From the back-end perspective, the biggest challenge was to start off with the database of the existing applications, which was huge, to say the least. The development team devised a plan to revamp the database by making changes to the schema where required, yet making sure that the existing data can easily be imported. Tech Stack used: Electron ReactJS NodeJS Laravel Framework SQLite MySQL Adobe XD Adobe Photoshop Bootstrap HTML5 CSS3 Window Master 2.0 has been built using the most modern tech stack available. The main technologies used are Electron.JS, React.JS, SQLite, Laravel Framework, Node.JS and MySQL. It features data syncing across devices when you are online. This makes sure that all the users within a company always have the latest data to work with. So, when a user creates a Quote, it is instantly available to other users. Same goes with the configuration entities. When an admin updates any of the configuration (such as cost of a specific component), it is instantly updated across the devices so you don’t have to worry about discrepancies in costing. However, if for any reason you want to use the application offline, you won’t lose any functionality.
Roseto is one of those ambitious ideas which focus on the digitalization of the results from metabolic panels performed by health care facilities overtime to evaluate patients’ medical conditions and provide instruction so that the person seeking advice can benefit and monitor his progress. It also provides detailed insight and comparative quantifiable data to health care facilities to fine-tune their approach. A system needed to be designed which communicates with another system to digitize the results of blood chemistry performed by health facilities. The extracted results should be stored and after evaluating each result for each test the system should draw comparisons and provide visual data to health care facilities. The facility then should be able to provide direction to the person and the person can review that information and see how he is doing. There were also some manual logs that needed to be maintained which included blood pressure, waist circumference, weight, and an ECG. Tech Stack used: SSH tunnel Laravel Framework VueJS NodeJS MySql Redis Keeping in mind the complexity and importance of the result that we are going to provide on which the healthcare facilities may rely on treating their patients. Our team designed a system that communicates with the onsite device to establish a connection through the SSH tunnel and read raw data stored in the form of XML files and store that data to the cloud system. Extensive testing was needed to ensure the algorithm that we developed to generate quantitative visual data so we teamed up with the co-founder who happened to be a competent doctor with six patients in his clinical trial to test the result and comparison generated by our system.
The Scope: A Mortgage Brokerage system is designed to facilitate companies by providing optimized business processes to obtain and file information required by Mortgage Lenders on behalf of borrowers. Discovery call: A legacy but complex system is written in AngularJS v1.4.1 and backed with Laravel 5.1 was in dire need of UI refinements, performance improvement, and bug fixing. Forming a team for such old technologies is a challenge in itself. But we formed a team of the following expertise 1) Full-stack backend Laravel developer with extensive experience working with JavaScript technologies 2) A JavaScript and UI engineer 3) An Interface developer In a few days, we managed to bring our team up to speed to work with AngularJS and decided to clean up the UI. This activity gave us a perspective of how things are wired and we gain product knowledge that was required to fix bugs without impacting other functionalities. After completion of the first phase consisting of UI improvements, some performance tweaks, and bug fixes the product owner brought some ideas to light with the team on which he wanted them to work. Some of those ideas on which the team worked are 1) Integration with Pipedrive 2) PDF Processor which can be used by borrowers to manipulate or combine different pdf files 3) Replace the old pdf generation tool with chrome headless. 4) Integration with Integromat 5) Integration with Zapier 6) Improve and fix selenium integration 7) Integration with Canada Post 8) Making the product multilingual in English and French
Activities for Reading Comprehension (ARC) is an application that helps children with Autism learn and understand in an interactive way. The main challenge with ARC was to develop an application for children that provides an interactive environment to practice words and sentences while storing their progress to create a learning curve for each individual child for experts’ review. The client, a doctorate candidate at McGill University, provided us with detailed requirements on how the application would offer various tasks and exercises for children at different stages of the program. Each exercise, when successfully done, would progressively increase the difficulty of words and sentences offered along with pictures. To make the experience more interactive for children, we decided to include aural feedback upon successfully completing an exercise. Tech Stack: ReactJS React-native PHP Laravel Framework MySQL Database Firebase Analytics and Monitoring Adobe Photoshop Adobe XD Adobe Illustrator Keeping in mind the principal requirements, our team developed a sound algorithm that determined the child’s progress and learning curve during the exercises and suggested next words and exercises based on the assessment.
The Tennis club management system was developed especially to improve club management and improve accessibility to online booking and team management by using native mobile apps. We developed the backend using Laravel Framework while the frontend was built using Vue. JS. The native mobile application for iPhone was built using Swift technology.
