Egret transitioned the app infrastructure from Native to React Native. However, they soon discovered problems with OTA updates that needed to be solved urgently. The solution was a native module that ensured reliable OTA updates and Bluetooth communication, supporting Egret’s innovation goals. We replaced the inefficient 'react-native-ble-plx' library for better Bluetooth integration and fixed OTA update delays by reverse-engineering the protocol handler. The project focused on developing the GoGoBand Android app, an innovative Healthcare IoT solution. The app integrates with a moisture sensor and heart rate monitor (HRM) via BLE communication to help manage chronic bedwetting. Key features include real-time monitoring, personalized alerts, and data analysis to support better health outcomes. An additional parent app allows for easy monitoring and management of their child’s progress.
