Developers needed a way to access magnetometer data in cross-platform apps. The target was to enable this feature for both iOS and Android devices, which was not available in existing Capacitor plugins.I crafted 'capacitor-magnetometer' to fill this niche. Using Java for Android and Swift for iOS, I created a plugin that provides easy-to-use APIs for magnetometer data. The focus was on simplicity and maintenance, ensuring the plugin integrated smoothly with Capacitor's ecosystem. The plugin has seen over 445 weekly downloads and has been updated 7 times, reflecting its demand and my commitment to it. It's open-source under the MIT license, encouraging community use and contributions. User feedback highlights its ease of use and well-documented design. It's setting new standards in Capacitor plugin development.
