Phoenix Tower International (PTI) owns and operates high-quality wireless infrastructure sites in Latin America, the Carribean, and the United States. When their website was launched, PTI only owned around a few thousands of sites. Since then, they have grown tremendously, and the number of sites increased to 90'000+! Being so successful negatively impacted the coverage map on their website. It became impossible to use with so many sites to display at once. They needed help and reached out to me. I had to optimize the loading time of the map, making it blazingly fast and interactive. Instead of loading all sites at once, I have built an algorithm that clusters them. The map displays only those sites that the user is actively looking for. This approach decreased the loading time more than ten times (1000%). The map works fast and reliably and is ready to handle many more sites that I am sure PTI is going to acquire soon! Since the launch of the map, we have already made numerous UI improvements and enriched it with new exciting features!
Power-MI is a cloud-based solution that allows one to write, organize, and share predictive maintenance reports for industrial machinery in an effortless way. The team consists of three passionates with rich industry experience: Carlos, Alfonso, and Inma. Despite being a startup, they already have a group of loyal customers. Power-MI works side-by-side with its users to improve the services offered. This run towards excellence is never-ending and often requires specialized IT knowledge. Power-MI team reached out to me based on a referral they got from my former client. Being laser-focused on the quality they provide, they were looking for someone who is reliable and can jump into their complex project readily. The first project I did for them was an annotation module that was going to enrich their customers' experience. Alfonso and Inma had a clear vision of how the module should work and look like. My only job was to build it. The customers' response was very positive, and the project went well. Therefore, they wanted me to stay with them, which I did eagerly! Since then, we have done more projects together, e.g., a long-awaited mobile Android app that gives Power-MI users new powerful tools. It is exciting to observe how Power-MI is growing, and I can't wait to see what they are going to come up with next time!
"Courtline" was an idea that arose in the head of Paul and his team at Tennis for Free. As a charity, TFF's mission was to make tennis available for everyone, especially kids raised in impoverished environments. Tennis was going to be a helpful hand for them, giving them a chance to grow - sport is a recognized tool for character development. TFF had contacts with multiple tennis clubs around the entire United Kingdom and UK Lawn Tennis Association. With the help of LTA and in cooperation with the clubs, "Courtline" has been developed. I, jointly with TFF and my team, had a pleasure of building it. It was exciting to see how our work was positively impacting so many people. To date, a few dozens UK tennis clubs have been actively using "Courtline". It translates to thousands of active members!
Invest in the USA (IIUSA) is a non-profit organization. "It advocates for policies that will maximize economic benefit to the U.S. from the Program through advocacy, education, industry development, and research." IIUSA needed to create a platform for their members that would facilitate information flow between them. It was a big challenge for them - the information the members seek comes from multiple sources. These were websites, articles, multimedia files, documents, calendar entries. Each of the sources required a different handler. The main goal was the maximum readability and accuracy. Therefore, all the data had to be synchronized and structured in real-time. The presentation had to be clean and intuitive. It also had to respect user permissions. This project was a big success - despite being a real technical challenge! Currently, it gives 1'300+ members access to 25'000+ multimedia resources. All the content is continuously synchronizing, ensuring that the members receive the most relevant and useful information they seek. The members have injected BILLIONS of USD into the U.S. economy!
