I specialize in the following technologies: Performance Optimization, Python, Django, Celery, Software Consultation, etc.. I hold a degree in Bachelor of Arts (BA). Some of the notable projects I’ve worked on include: Joyride (Slack App). I am based in Encinitas, United States. I've successfully completed 1 projects while developing at Softaims.
My passion is building solutions that are not only technically sound but also deliver an exceptional user experience (UX). I constantly advocate for user-centered design principles, ensuring that the final product is intuitive, accessible, and solves real user problems effectively. I bridge the gap between technical possibilities and the overall product vision.
Working within the Softaims team, I contribute by bringing a perspective that integrates business goals with technical constraints, resulting in solutions that are both practical and innovative. I have a strong track record of rapidly prototyping and iterating based on feedback to drive optimal solution fit.
I’m committed to contributing to a positive and collaborative team environment, sharing knowledge, and helping colleagues grow their skills, all while pushing the boundaries of what's possible in solution development.

Slack Technologies
The goal for Joyride is to be a Slack App/Bot that supercharges team engagement by using icebreakers and fun questions in a specific channel (#theride). As people share their answers, upload photos/videos, and mention other teammates, Joyride builds a private web page for the team so that they can look back on it at anytime, reflect on the journey, and see their teammates answers and get to know them better! I built the backend using Django, and also did a SPA frontend with Vue JS (for the private journey pages). I customized a Django Slack OAuth Library (https://github.com/MicahLyle/django-slack-oauth) to fit Joyride's needs, differentiating between Add to Slack and Sign in With Slack, and allowing Slack Sign in for a team member to view the journey page of his/her Slack workspace. I utilized Django RQ and Django RQ Scheduler to handle the Slack webhooks, and schedule icebreaker questions. On top of that, I implemented the basic DRF API to send the information to the private journey page, wrote the code to parse/process the Slack posts in #theride (and persist relevant information in the database that would show up on the journey page) and respond from the Joyride bot/app as necessary. I also integrated Stripe for the subscriptions for teams after their trial expired (if they wanted to continue using Joyride). To date, Joyride is on the Slack App Store, was at one point the #2 featured app for health/wellness, and has had a number of teams download it, and many teams currently using it.
