Web Conferencing on-premise

Out-of-the-box support for making video calls inside a social intranet platform without the need for any third-party conferencing solutions. It was planned and engineered Web Conferencing addon with pluggable architecture (WebRTC, Skype, Jitsi), integrated it into the platform apps (Chat, Content, Social). I led the cross-functional international feature team, introduced microservices architecture, facilitated UI/UX design of the features and product delivery iterations. This work gave us an opportunity to response on the customer demand in COVID/remote time.

Smart streams: ML PoC

The goals of the work was to study and research the possible ways of using social data within ML models to recommend content (posts, events, documents) to the users. It was examined users data nature, its features, and developed two parts of the solution: first, to collect data from the app and train sequential ML models from it; second, to recommend "smartly" content to a concrete user based on his past behaviour in the application. Those solution gave us a tool to experiment and make wise decisions for next phases of the app development.

Online office editors

eXo Platform add-on which provides integration with Office Online (later Office365) and allows users to preview and edit Word, Excel and Powerpoint documents in the platform using embedded Office editors. In addition, users able to edit documents collaboratively with other intranet members respecting security policies and access-control associated within the document and its participants. The solution saves resulting documents in the intranet storage with enabled versioning (users can restore past edits or follow the content history and contributors). I led architecture and engineering effort in the feature team.

Cloud Drive add-on

Respinding to the customers' need of using online cloud drives, such as Google Drive, Box and Dropbox, with their social intranets, our company designed and implemented such solution with rich user experience of leveraging the both solutions. I developed a pluggable platform add-on with abstraction level API for using withon the intranet apps, and next integrated Google Drive, OneDrive, Dropbox, Box, Sharepoint into the platform. Each drive implementaion was able to be installed separatelly to let the users pick what they need and omit not desired drives. It was introduced a security policies to let share the cloud files with intranet groups and indivigual collaborators.

JCR implementation

JCR implementation (JSR-170 specification) with extended API for extra features. It offers JVM based NoSQL solution with thread-safety, two-layer caching, clustering, Lucene indexer, ACL-security, RDBMS connectors to most of databases, with RESTful and WebDAV APIs. The JCR implementation became a data storage foundation for eXo portal, ECM, Knowledge, Forum, and Social apps. Thanks to the extended API we brought rich capabilities for the app developers, consultants and customers, what contributed to the success of the whole platform.
