Challenge: A sheet contains the data of the software developers in a project which are no. of hours they have worked in a day, task ID they have worked on, task size, status of the task whether it is completed or not. - I need to automate the process of calculating the efficiency of each team under the project for the week. Solution: - I have finally developed the tool, where the user gives the start date of the week and the end date of the week and the no. of working days in the week. - Using Apps script API and Spreadsheets API, I have extracted the data from the actual sheet and applied the logics for calculating the efficiency of each team. - Each team member's no. of hours will be taken into consideration and grouped by the group name. - Finally gives us the total no of hours worked by the entire group and dividing it with total no. of actual working hours gives us the efficiency of each group. - Got appreciations from all the teams and Managers in the project, it made their work very easy.
