I’ve always believed that good software is not just built—it’s carefully shaped through understanding, exploration, and iteration. Every project I’ve worked on has taught me something new about how to balance simplicity with depth, and efficiency with creativity. At its core, my work revolves around helping businesses and people achieve more through thoughtful technology. I’ve learned that the most successful projects come from teams that communicate openly and stay adaptable. At Softaims, I’ve had the opportunity to work alongside professionals who challenge assumptions, share knowledge generously, and inspire continuous improvement. I take pride in focusing on the fundamentals—clarity in logic, consistency in design, and empathy in execution. Software is more than a set of features; it’s a reflection of how we think about problems and how we choose to solve them. By maintaining this perspective, I aim to build solutions that are not only effective today but also flexible enough to support the challenges of tomorrow. The culture at Softaims promotes learning as an ongoing process. Every new project feels like a step forward, both personally and professionally. I see each challenge as a chance to refine my skills and contribute to the shared vision of building technology that genuinely improves lives.

I worked with Hardhat, a digital agency, for a number of years to maintain and eventually rebrand Simply Energy to ENGIE. As part of this transition, I was responsible for rebranding all of their Storybook components and EDMs (Electronic Direct Mail). While another team handled the website build, I collaborated closely with the designer to ensure the new visual identity was implemented consistently across all UI modules and email templates. The rebranded company, ENGIE Australia, is a major energy provider. Storybook was build with Next/React.js.
Lite n Easy is an Australian meal delivery service. . In 2023, we completed a full refresh of the website design. I was the lead front-end developer on this project, responsible for implementing all the designs. This was the first project I tried Tailwind on and ending up liking for the speed with lets you develop with. This project had quite a bit of animation largely done with Framer Motion.
The Asia New Zealand Foundation | Te Whītau Tūhono is New Zealand's leading non-profit organisation dedicated to connecting Kiwis with Asia. Its mission is to equip New Zealanders to build knowledge, skills and confidence to excel in Asia. I worked on moving the site from sliverstripe CMS to Dato and Next.js/React.js jamstack. While moving it over we also did some design updates to improve the website. This was actually in a monorepo with it's sister website https://www.asiamediacentre.org.nz/. They had a number of similar components so we needed up sharing them between the 2 repos.
Agrizero is a partnership between the New Zealand government and major agribusiness companies, working to help farmers reduce emissions while maintaining profitability and productivity. They have a small DatoCMS, React and Tyescript website that I primary built while working at Haunt Digital.
For Science Learning Hub I worked on a team to do a replatform from Sliverstripe over to Dato CMS and React/Typescript with Tailwind for CSS. The Replatform was to make it easier for them to update content and for us to maintain. As part of the project we also improved the design making it more modern and user friendly. Some of these were small changes I made, others were made working with a designer.
