I was reached out to by my friend's relative who is the manager of the hotel. He wanted a system to manage the banquet bookings as well as the room booking. The major goal of the system was to design and develop a system where the hotel owner, as well as the management, could interact with the system to manage all the bookings and generate reports. The major objectives of the system were: 1. To develop a web app which could store all the booking details of every customer of the hotel. 2. To develop a system where the management at a glance could view all the empty rooms on a particular date and view all the banquet bookings in a calendar. 3. To generate various reports such as arrival lists, check-in and check-out reports, etc. 4. To view and store the details (including their booking history) of all the customers. During the development of the project, I was responsible for leading a team of three where we worked together to deliver the features in time.
