MeloMerge aims to bridge the gap between music lovers by providing a platform to discover, join, and organize casual music jam sessions in their locality. Whether you're a singer, guitarist, drummer, or just someone wanting to enjoy live music, MeloMerge is the go-to place to connect with like-minded individuals and create musical memories. I designed and built the platform from scratch using React at the frontend and Django at the backend. The main challenge was to find intersections between different musician skills in a scalable way for which I used Neo4j Graph Database.
I developed a Python-based solution to automate the retrieval and storage of licensing information from a daily-updated website. The system automatically downloaded and stored license details and attachments in a cloud database, ran routine checks every 15 minutes, and notified subscribers via email of new licenses. A web application was created for subscriber management, allowing secure login to view license information. This project significantly reduced manual effort, ensuring timely access to updates and streamlining subscriber management without requiring online payments.
I developed a competitive Android document scanner app to address limitations in existing apps like CamScanner. I focused on enhancing document boundary detection using convolutional neural networks (CNNs). I utilized public datasets and created a synthetic dataset with Python for training. I designed a custom CNN with TensorFlow Lite, optimized for mobile devices, and built the app in Java. This integration enabled real-time document boundary detection, resulting in an accessible and feature-rich scanner app, providing a strong alternative to existing solutions.
OffTheLine aimed to connect personal chefs with individuals needing medically tailored meals. I translated the business model into technical requirements and designed the software infrastructure. I SaaS chef management portal with React and Tailwind CSS, deploying it on AWS EC2. I configured Nginx, designed a scalable architecture using AWS services, implemented Laravel for the backend, and integrated Python for machine learning tasks. My work secured venture funding, enabled a pilot with UPMC, and positioned the company for future profitability.
