Trello Clone

Understanding Trello's Features: I thoroughly studied Trello's interface and functionalities, understanding how boards, lists, cards, and actions like creation, update, and deletion function within the platform. Design and Architecture Planning: I planned out the design and architecture of the project, opting for React.js/Next.js 14 for the frontend, with server actions handling business logic, and PostgreSQL data storage managed by Supabase. Setting Up the Development Environment: I successfully set up my development environment, configuring tools like code editors, Git for version control, and npm for package management, along with integrating Supabase for PostgreSQL data storage. Creating the Backend: Leveraging server actions in Next.js 14, I built the backend logic, defining RESTful APIs for CRUD operations on boards, lists, and cards, with Supabase handling PostgreSQL data storage. Additionally, I implemented secure user authentication and authorization mechanisms with Clerk. Developing the Frontend: Using React.js/Next.js 14, Shadcn(Tailwind CSS), I crafted a user-friendly interface for the Trello clone, designing and implementing components for displaying boards, lists, and cards. I effectively managed application state using Zustand, with server actions handling client-server communication. Connecting Backend with Frontend: I seamlessly integrated the frontend with the backend, ensuring smooth data communication through server actions for real-time updates and synchronization with Supabase PostgreSQL data. Implementing Drag-and-Drop Functionality: Utilizing React DnD library, I successfully implemented drag-and-drop functionality, providing users with an intuitive experience for organizing and moving cards within lists. Deployment: I deployed the application to Vercel, making it accessible to users on the internet with a custom domain name and appropriate DNS configuration, while Supabase ensured data persistence. Continuous Improvement: Post-deployment, I continued to iterate on the project based on user feedback and feature requests, adding new features, refactoring code for maintainability, and optimizing performance as needed, with Supabase handling any necessary adjustments to the database schema. Overall, through my diligent efforts, I successfully completed all aspects of cloning Trello as a learning project, gaining valuable experience in full-stack web development using React.js/Next.js 14, server actions, and PostgreSQL data storage in Supabase.

Daydream Thai Massage website

The clients want a fast website for SEO purposes too. So I crafted a fast website using next.js and tailwindcss. I use simplybookme API here to show available massage services.

IMDB Clone

The goal of this project was to create a clone of IMDB. I used next.js because it's awesome and cool. I used tailwindcss as the frontend framework of this project. The project also uses TMDB API to fetch movie information and show what is trending and top-rated. The result is a fast and responsive website. See imdb.jameshwartlopez.com

Google Clone

The goal of this project is to clone the google search using tailwindcss with next.js. I have used google search API for the search and tailwindcss for the front end. I have created and used the google authentication on this website too. The result is a fast and responsive website made in tailwindcss and next.js. See google.jameshwartlopez.com
