A new web site for a university of applied sciences. A custom theme with lots of custom post types and taxonomies, shortcodes and integrations to external API data sources. Accessibility and cookie management got a lot of focus. As the lead dev, I completed around 90% of the work and managed the rest. Visual design provided by AD.
I developed most of the features for a peer-to-peer boat rental services for the actual renting: adding, listing and viewing boats, adding available rental dates, reserving dates, the process of approving, paying and returning the rentals, triggering messages to owner, renter and admin at various events etc. The features were provided as a custom plugin to a site otherwise built with Elementor by the client, who also provided the visual design. Paying was arranged with a direct REST API integration to Stripe. Both custom PHP within WordPress and a React app for rental calendar management.
New site for the Orthodox Church in Finland. Custom theme based on _s and Bootstrap. I did the whole site on my own. Custom post types and taxonomies, language versions. Completely custom coded interactive church calendar. Lots of content migrated from the previous Drupal site. Visual design provided by AD.
Finnish municipalities have started to publish their purchasing data. The format, row data in CSV, Excel or PDF, does not easily provide insight to the 'big picture'. I developed a React application embedded to a WordPress plugin that makes summaries, searching and filtering of the data readily available on the web site. This is being taken into use by municipalities in Finland as a commercial product.
Exceptionally for me, an Elementor site for a regional medical center. Occasionally a page builder is preferred over a custom theme and Elementor is the one to me. I did the whole development with custom post types and language versioning based on a visual design from an AD. Many custom loops for custom post types and a bit more advanced two-level menu structure. For this site, I also made the wireframe and page structure and content plans.
