Shopify Website Developer + Digital Brand Launch for Custom Suit Company

ASKEW Custom Clothiers is a new premium custom menswear company specializing initially in made-to-measure custom suits and dress shirts.

We are looking for an experienced website designer/developer with strong e-commerce and branding experience to build our website and help establish our initial digital presence.

We already own askewcustomclothiers.com and have our overall brand direction established. Our aesthetic is modern luxury with elements of traditional bespoke tailoring: clean, masculine, sophisticated, premium, and focused on craftsmanship and personalization.

WEBSITE / E-COMMERCE

We want a premium “Build Your Suit” experience where customers can customize garments using high-quality visual examples.

Customization may include:

• Fabric/color
• 2-piece or 3-piece configuration
• Jacket/lapel styles
• Pockets and vents
• Buttons
• Linings
• Trouser options
• Vests
• Monogramming
• Other customization options

We do NOT need an expensive live 3D configurator at this stage. High-end photography/visual examples for selections are preferred.

Pricing should use a base-price + upgrades model, with the ability for us to easily add/change options and pricing ourselves.

We will launch with custom suits and dress shirts but need the website structured so we can later add shoes, accessories, and other menswear categories.

MEASUREMENTS & CONSULTATIONS

Customers should have two measurement paths:

1. Guided self-measurement with clear step-by-step visual instructions. 2. Book a professional consultation.

Consultations may be:

• At our private fitting/home-office space
• Mobile (we travel to the customer)
• Virtual

We need to be able to manage appointment availability, service areas, and potential travel fees ourselves.

The website should also be structured so more advanced digital/body-measurement technology could potentially be integrated later.

CUSTOMER ACCOUNTS

Customers should be able to create accounts and securely save appropriate information such as:

• Measurements
• Previous orders
• Preferences
• Order status
• Information needed for easier reordering

ORDERING & PAYMENTS

Our intended workflow:

Customize garment → measurements/consultation → order summary → 50% deposit → ASKEW reviews measurements/order → confirmation → production → remaining balance

We need an easy-to-manage backend where we can review customer selections, measurements, payment status and order information.

Stripe or another appropriate professional payment solution should be integrated.

SOCIAL MEDIA / DIGITAL BRAND LAUNCH

We also need help establishing the initial ASKEW presence on Instagram, Facebook and TikTok.

This should include:

• Profile setup/optimization
• Bios and profile/cover graphics
• Consistent visual aesthetic
• Reusable social-media templates
• Approximately 10–15 pieces of initial launch content
• Simple 30-day content plan
• Initial content submitted to us for approval before publishing

We have authentic tailoring/sourcing photos and video. Premium licensed imagery may supplement our content where necessary during launch, with the ability to replace it with original ASKEW photography over time.

Shopify is preferred, but we are open to another platform if you can clearly explain why it is better suited to our customization, measurements, deposits, customer accounts and future expansion.

OWNERSHIP & HANDOFF

ASKEW Custom Clothiers must retain full ownership/control of the domain, website, payment accounts, social accounts, customer data, email accounts, design assets and other business accounts.

The freelancer will receive the appropriate access needed to complete the project.

Before completion, we require training plus written and/or video documentation showing us how to manage the website, orders, pricing, customization options, appointments, customer information, content and social-media templates ourselves.

WHO WE'RE LOOKING FOR

Experience with luxury/fashion brands, custom products, made-to-measure products, e-commerce, product configurators or premium service brands is strongly preferred.

Please include 2–3 relevant portfolio examples and explain what you personally did on each project.

We are not looking for someone to simply install a template and change our logo. We want someone who can create the digital foundation and initial customer experience for a brand we intend to grow long-term.

FIXED PROJECT BUDGET: $1,750–$2,000
