Job Description:

We seek a Mid-Level Django Developer to build and maintain our server-rendered pages, REST/JSON APIs, and background processing. You will own medium-sized features, improve performance and security, and collaborate with frontend and mobile engineers on contracts and versioning. Strong Django ORM skills and testing discipline are expected.

You should operate independently within team conventions, flag tech debt with proposed paydowns, and communicate schedule risk early.

Tech Stack:

  • Django: Models, managers, query optimization, transactions.
  • APIs: DRF or Django Ninja with versioning, throttling, permissions.
  • Async: ASGI where used; understanding sync vs async tradeoffs.
  • Tasks: Celery (or equivalent) with retries and monitoring.
  • Cache: Redis/Memcached for sessions, views, or hot data.
  • Deploy: Gunicorn/Uvicorn, Docker, environment-based settings.
